ONLY Peroni Launch Campaign
To launch the global ONLY Peroni platform in Ireland, acclaimed illustrator Mark Conlan was commissioned to create bespoke artwork blending vibrant Italian culture with iconic Irish landmarks. Serving as the visual heartbeat of the launch night, these illustrations were projected across the historic, overhead architecture of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.
The event marked the Irish debut of the brand's new creative direction, celebrating Peroni Nastro Azzurro not just as a beer, but as an emblem of effortless Italian style and craftsmanship.
My role was to bring these illustrations to life through motion graphics.
The animations needed to be incredibly modular, functioning like dynamic "stickers" that could be combined, scaled, and rearranged to fit a wide mix of layouts. Screen sizes varied drastically across the venue, ranging from vertical 9:16 digital displays to massive, custom-mapped wall and roof projections exceeding 4K resolution.
To manage these unique technical demands and distinct aspect ratios,
I structured the workflow as follows:
Projection Mapping
Once the illustrations were animated, I prepared the assets specifically for the venue's unique architecture. This required precisely accounting for structural distortion, ambient light, and large-scale viewing angles to ensure the artwork mapped perfectly to the building.
Digital Displays
I adapted the animations into standard broadcast formats for the venue's multiple TV screens to ensure seamless synchronization between them. Additionally, I built and corrected looping formats customized for different moments of the night, such as the initial guest walk-in, the main brand reveal, and specific event highlights, to constantly enhance the atmosphere.
By collaborating closely with the on-site technical team, we transformed the historic Powerscourt building into an immersive, moving canvas, deeply engaging attendees the moment they stepped through the door.
Thanks!
